Cheap Core 2 Solution

I want to get a Cheap core 2 solution. This will be for video encoding video editing to upgrade from really antique single core intel.

So im thinking to get one of those ECS boards and a 6300.

Where would be a good place i can get both parts cheaply. also any 1 think for encoding ddr 400 would bottleneck the cpu ?
 
ddr 400 no worky.

ddr2 400 would be slow, but I wouldnt think it would bottleneck the cpu. the only bottlenecks in any type of encoding are the CPU or the hard drive (which ever one cant keep up with the other).
