Cheap computer ... ?

I'm currently looking for a really cheap computer (~$60 to ~$100) to use as a server for a VPN, mail-server, and to have edonkey, kazaa, ... run on.
I don't need a mouse, keyboard, monitor for it.
It should be just be fast enough to run winxp (or Win2K) on.
And it should be quiet (since it will be running all the time and I hate noise 😉 )

But looking around on pricewatch I couldn't find anything even close to that price (they start at ~200).

What it should have though:
- VGA
- USB
- 1 Ethernet
- at least 1 PCI
- 5-10 GB HD

I see a lot of them in Microcenter B&M. Also in every Pomona computer show. There's one computer show coming up on 8th and 9th. Link

Well they are all rather expensive ...

I started this thread since someone in this thread said it would be possible to build a machine like the one mentioned in the thread.

I'm interested in this since I didn't get in on this deal.

Correction: these are used systems (read corporate off-lease) not refurb. Prob. no warranty. For warrantied systems you do have to go through main dell site. (edit) link fixed

Also, check here for dell refurbs: as low as $174

He said quiet. No Proliant server is quiet.

I would look on Ebay for a Dell Optiplex G1. Usually you can find a 333 Celeron with 64MB and 4 GB HDD for about $100 or so. They have onboard video, USB, and ethernet. We have quote a few of these at work and they are great machines! Very reliable. You can upgrade them to a PIII 1ghz later if you want.

Here's one for $60!!
