Office Depot
Spin-X 100pk 659-935 $29.99 less $7 IR less $16 MIR = $6.99
Imation 50pk 265-210 $24.99 less $6 IR less $15 MIR = $3.99

Best Buy
Maxell 50pk 623251 40X $19.99 less $7 IR less $10 MIR = $2.99 (Thanks to DUKAT1 for original post)
Imation 100pk 48X 41232/9516/16093 $44.99 less $17 IR less $20 MIR = $7.99 Rebate is B&M only(Thanks to ActiveX for info)
I don't see any rebates at bestbuy.com as of yet for these two.

These are the only two ads in my newspaper today but...

Office Max has 10pk 3 1/2" 20147949 $2.99 free AR
Hi Val 16X 50-Pack 20068819 $16.99 less $10 MIR = $6.99

Circuit City
Memorex 50pk MEM 32024560 shows 8X $4.99 after 2 MIR (Thanks to ThunderRoad)

Cron at another board said that Staples B&M has MAXELL CD-R650 GOLD 50PK SPIN for $2.94 after $12 mail-in rebate Valid Oct 20 - 26

$22.98 - $8 price drop - $12 mail-in rebate = $2.94 #430570

Don't forget free shipping at Circuit City and Best Buy.

At this point in time, there should be no reason whatsoever to pay anything for bulk cd's (except for the tax to get them totally free). I would just wait every month or so for a free 100pk special that someone always tends to have every now and then.

Yeah, yeah, we've heard it before. And unless you're going to post one of these free CDR deals, keep it to yourself.

Reasons to pay something for bulk cd-rs:
1. You personally prefer certain brands.
2. You need them now - not at some unspecified time when there might be free AR ones.
3. Your burner "likes" some brands better than others.
4. You don't have access to the particular store that might offer "free" ones. (I have no local Office Max, others have no local CompUSA, etc.)

Here's a copy of the Maxell rebate at outpost. Gonna run by BB today to get some stuff and pick these up myself to actually have some 40x rated cdrs.

Thanks for the rebate link. But it says that they must have orginal rebate coupon. Will printing out the one you linked to be acceptable?

The date is also for 11/1, so shouldn't you have to wait till next week to buy the cdr's?

That is an official rebate printout form from outpost and where do you see 11/1, everthing on there says October 1 which last time I checked is the 10th month;) FYI, just looked at the rebate slips printed out from BB and the address is completely different than the one from the outpost link. I suspect the outpost one will work but you might wait and see if BB posts one on their site.

ActiveX tells me that the Best Buy 100pk Imation rebate is B&M only for those looking for the rebate. Maybe that is true of the Maxell 50pk also since I still don't see any rebates for these at Bestbuy.com.

B&M = Brick and Mortor which means the physical store, instead of online.

Regarding these imation cdrs, was at best buy yesterday, the manager tells me the rebate is in store only becuase they cant fill the demand associated with rebates online, is this true, i have no idea, call up best buy and complain :)

They did the same thing with the WD 40GB rebates. The rebate forms would only print out at the register. *shrug* Get off your butts! =D

He said that it was B&M only. I haven't been to the store so I can't dispute the deal. Online lists them for $24.99 not $22.88. Anyone checked a store?

allisolm - thanks for the PM with the link. I checked three (3) different Staples this weekend and none had an in-store flyer, nor the rebate. I also tried to add the item to my Staples.com order for the Maxtor 120GB/$50 off $200 deal but it wouldn't pull-up the $22.98 price. So it looks like this might be a regional or market-size based circular this week....

edit - Staples.com still does not list a mail-in rebate for this item. So it appears that this is an in-store, rebate prints at the register only, deal....
