Hey, I've just bought 2 HP L1740 17" TFT monitors (specs: specs), and then found out my graphics card doesn't support dual monitor. So already now you can probably figure out how much I know about hardware...
Anyway, as the title says, I would like to get a cheap dual DVI card. My needs are not that big; I currently have an ATi All-in-Wonder Radeon (32 MB etc.), and I wouldn't buy a new one, if it wasn't because of the new monitors, I spend most of my time in front of the computer writing and especially reading... So a low-end dual DVI card, any suggestions and/or recommendations for a such?
If you could find it on the Danish graphics card price index ("søg" = "search" .. here's my best shot at a search) it would be VERY nice, as it will make it much easier for me to get it, otherwise I have to order it home from a foreign country probably...

However, in case those are pretty expensive, say around $100 or more (equals 600 kr.), I might want go for a 1xDVI + 1xVGA instead. Can you recommend any of those? Actually, it would be nice if anyone could, even though there's a fairly cheap dual DVI card as well, so I know what difference in price we're talking here. I'm not even sure it'll make much difference to me, visually, but I have two DVI 18 pins cables already - and two VGA, but DVI should be better, I understand - and hence I would like to use that for both monitors...

I hope you can help me, I'm pretty much completely lost in regards to what card I should choose...
/Allan

He doesn't need that high end.

I think there are 6600 (non-GTs) that have dual-DVI.

Also, while i knowed i'm gonna get unnecessarily flamed for this, you really don't need DVI on a 17" LCD.

Frankly, till you reach resolutions of 1600x1200 on LCDs (or larger displays), it's generally impossible to identify a difference between DVI & VGA.

No it seems those 6600 GTs are pretty expensive - but actually even those non-GTs are around $150 and up in Denmark, and then I'll just settle for a 1xDVI + 1xVGA.

n7, I'm glad to hear what you said about needing DVI, that's also what I've heard from others (though somewhat more vague: "practically no diference"); on the other hand I might just keep this card for some 3-4-5 years I hope, but may replace the monitors with some larger ones, so for future sake dual DVI would be nice. However, not if the cards are that expensive.

So I guess I'll have to go for a 1xDVI + 1xVGA, any suggestions for a such (where "cheap" is still the keyword ;-))?
