I agree that if you like the girl enough, you won't care about the money... and it seems like he was ticked after even the 1st date... which should always be the guy's responsibility IMO.

Not saying thank you does get to you after a while though... she must be old school... is she asian ? My aunt told me that they used to be that way... they simply expected this kind of treatment on dates.

It's a double standard women have for men. Men must play the traditional male role as the one who takes out a girl and pays for everything, yet, women won't do anything traditional women would do because it's 'sexist' or 'degrading'.

not sure if this was the case w/ the OP, but seems like some of the women who can't find what they're looking for and remain single and looking, chronic dater... and rack up the age... can come off really lacking spark and innocence on a date... (when it comes to paying, whoever asked whoever out should make the first attempt... 2nd and 3rd dates... i think it can depend, but the man has final say... ) yes it's a drag, these women come off as being 'too good'... we always hear of women's turnoffs of a guy, well this one can be not sexy to a guy.

What kind of friend *expect* the guy to pay for the bill, this is NOT a date? That's just wrong... You need a better friend.

So if you and I were hanging out (I'm a guy), and we got something to eat, should I expect you to pay? Do you pay for all your guy friends? Why is this different?
