Any body have any luck with refurby AMD processors from newegg.com? I got my Pent IV 2.2 refurb, it worked fine. But when my buddy ordered an XP2000, it wouldn't work.

Woohoo! Thanks corinthos! I'm in. Still one more 1800+ left. Better hurry. They're great overclockers.

I just got my 2800+ and E-8RDA for a cool $389.25! Thanks! /edit -- Wait, this is HOT deals.

Now all I have to do is return my 2700+ and E-8RDA (that I paid $418 for) that I bought two days ago from newegg.

This is why i never post Newegg's refurbished deals. About 5 mins after the post, everything is gone. The best way is to check there once in 3 days.

I'll take that 2700+ from you Saltboy. But since it's used, I'll need a deep discount.....:D

It's actually still in the mail. I ordered it two days ago and it hasn't arrived yet. ;)

I bought two from newegg and both were used judging on the thermal grease on them. Both were in working condition. I believe one was returned because it did not overclock the way user expected, it was t'bred A. I don't know what was the problem with another but it was a used one as well. Both were cleaned carefully but the grease was still obvious.
So I guess it is all used that don't overclock well. Hopefully they are not damaged by overclocking attempts.
