I've been following along with this and until this video I thought what Charlie Sheen was going through was for real.
I could be wrong and make no mistake his performance(if it is one) is brilliant and convincing but there is too much cliche in this one. Watching it I started to think about his dads performance in apocalypse now and how brilliant that was and then he mentioned the name of the book(or whatever it was). I cannot help but get the feeling that Charlie is drawing on some of his fathers great performances. This is the stuff that makes money(at least for a time).


Then again maybe he's just a bi-polar drug addict.

OP you give him way too much credit, Charlie's actually a pretty bad actor, I'd put him on Paulie Shores level. In 2 And A Half Men he was literally just playing himself, not acting skills were really needed there. He's never been anything more than a so-so actor. I mean the peak of his acting was in Hot Shots & Major League. The best movie he was in was Platoon, but he absolutely was horrible in it.
