charlie horse - ouch!

I was running yesterday evening and got a charlie horse in my calf. I was running late so I kept going at a slower jog pace. This morning it hurts like a motha. I gotta do quite a bit of walking and dancing tomorrow night. Anything I can do at this point to make it heal quicker?? Too late for cold? Heat? Massage? BTW, it even hurts terribly to touch the upper inner part. This svcks.

Whatever you do, dont, I repeat, dont seek any professional medical advice. We can help you through this.
1. Punch the affected area repeatedly.
2. Dont use a heating pad.
3. Wait for more advice disputing my advice......😀

😉

Potassium is your friend.

I'd wake up in the middle of the night w/ them. All i could do was move my leg around until the pain stopped. I never had any when I'd get up the next morning.

I also had a charlie horse-like cramp between my chin and my adam's apple. THAT sucked...and hurt for the entire day.

So it helps afterwards, not just to prevent?

Do you even know what you're talking about? Note it was yesterday. For all I know, walking could make it worse.

Go away.

do you know what we're talking about? note it still hurts. for all you know, walking could make it better.

you go away.

No thanks. I started the thread. 😎
No I don't know what I'm talking about, and don't know if walking it off could help or not, which is why I was asking questions. You think "walk it off you pansy!" is a good answer?

Thanks, derrickperry.

Charlie horse = cramp.

imagine getting a charlie horse when you're taking a leak, or better yet.......... when you're making el amor :brokenheart:😱

btw, I got one while I was depressing the clutch in my car, on the entrance ramp to the freeway.
