Cannonball Run...

He was often pretty funny on Match Game. Unfortunately many people, like me, only remember him for his appearances on that show as a regular, and not for his acting accolades that earned during his career.

Here's to his family.

Unfortunately I do not know who this man is, but after reading the article he sounds like a wonderful human being.

RIP.

I remember him from Match Game when I was a kid, and I remember him being funny as hell. Godspeed, Charles...

Must add that he was a brave soul to be so open with his sexuality back in the 70s. He never made it an issue, but he didn't hide in the closet like the Tom Cruises of the world. Dry humor, intelligence, and bravery all add up to him being a great person- a person who will be missed.

Well, actually he never "came out of the closet' unless he did it in the last few years and I don't know about. He was more like Liberace. Many people who liked him as a performer were convinced it was all an act or just were in denial. And that worked fine for many of his fans who didn't want to face the fact that he was gay.
America had a pretty decent policy of 'don't ask, don't tell" with our gay performers. It is sad that it has become such and issue today.
RIP Charles.
