He made it sound like Barack is the candidate for black people, and he did a better job than Bill Clinton's attempt. Worst spokesman possible for Obama.

His quote was "phony Conservatives" ... :p

Barkley isn't exactly the kind of character I'd want stumping for me.

True JediYoda. The last 2 entertainers 1 in white and THE I'LL be back charcter are exciting in office. Ronald was a very good President. I think Charles is a little hard on the rep. I mean Dems have the majority in the house and senate or are we all forgetting this FACT. I don't think there well be a national election in 08.

Another terrorist attack maybe even bigger than 9/11 will allow Bush to suspend the elections in the name of national defense.

Great. Now we're going to have a million boys and girls grow up thinking republicans are fake Christians because big-man Charles Barkley said it.

AWESOME!

Didn't realize we lived in India and the "class" system.

Are you talking about India's "caste" system? You make no sense half the time so I'm just wondering...

Nice speech, accurate sentiments. He is right on.

As I said... it's popular to espouse that Republicans are rich and evil and Democrats are impoverished and holier than thou.

Rich VS Poor is the most ancient battle within civilization. For all the good the ?modern? world has brought us, we still haven't moved an inch beyond class warfare. "Republicans are fake Christians" from the OP is a shining example of that.

Maybe he meant hardline Neocons are fake conservatives. In that sense I also agree, but that also would comprise some in the democratic party as well -- hiding as "democrats" they're also part of the Neocon "system" by complicity (not overt) as it were. It's not really about Party affiliation per say as much as it is about wealth by corruption, and the common goal retaining that wealth at any cost including criminal deeds veiled under the cloak of legitimacy.

I think Sir Charles would make a pretty cool governor in the same light as The Governator.

Anything less would be uncivilized. :D
