and they dont need to be. all it takes is a few broke ass pyscho's, $100, and some guns to scare someone into not doing something. its been done to me. required restraining orders, police protection, everything... all because i went against someone's agenda.

and yes, he did successfully prevent me from honoring a $50,000 contract because he drove me nuts from paranoia and fear.

hmmm, the guy forged emails from me and gave them to investors, but presented them in a way that kept them from talking to me about them. The guy actually pulled alot of strings to make me look nuts, and it worked. When i eventually figured out that the guy was the one making things hard for me, i called him out, but his efforts to make me look nuts made it hard for me to get taken seriously...

i was trying to start a web site... long story with that, but the guy owned a hosting company and was getting x% of our revenue to host. in the middle of a big, televised auction we were running on the site, he told me that if I didn't agree to like quadruple his cut he was going to pull the plug... I told him no way, especially since he was hardly living up to 20% of what he was supposed to be providing... I refused, and he started his thing against me... he got his, we ran him through bankrupcty court, pinned him on bankrupcty court fraud, and all kinds of stuff... he probably still wants to kill me.

I am saying that this sounds like a crack pot paranoid story made up to generate hostiliity towards a number of so-called powerful African-American leaders. They are not that powerful.

The author, "a retired public relations executive who wishes to remain anonymous" who uses words like "secret" and "cabal" points to his agenda with the website.

I think they could do it too. My uncle is very wealthy, and very tied in with the FBI and politicians.. He can pull some pretty heavy and delicate strings and all it takes is a lil $$$. I can hardly imagine what Oprah and her billions could do. Like I said, she could throw a pyscho $100 and they would no doubt mess with Dave Chappelle.

 
The site is rediculous and should be taken as seriously as most sites of this nature. What's funny is if this was a site about white conspirists, everyone would laugh and redicule the author and the OP. But since this is a black "organization" some are taking it to be gospel. I don't know how I feel about that but it's definitely odd.

These are episodes that were already taped before Chappelle went all depressed in S. Africa and quit.

Chappelle is getting paid handsomely from his recent deal with Comedy Central so I wouldn't expect to see him anytime soon. He can't do anything on TV until his contract with Comedy Central runs out.

- He got $4.5 mil non-refundable upfront from CC.
- He gets $275,000 everytime they play one of his shows
- He gets $25,000 for every repeat
- He gets 50% of all DVD and merchandise sales retroactive to the first season of the Chappelle show

i stopped reading at the part when oprah "used her influence" on chappelle's local affliate, and beamed a special message to him that only he saw during her show. :laugh:

The image, allegedly taped by Winfrey, and transmitted to Chappelle's house under the direction of Robert L. Johnson who called in some favors with Chappelle's local affiliate station manager, terrified Chappelle.

ridiculous, since the author claims many times that people around dave heard what the conspiracy was saying to him.. like when louis was at the restaurant with dave and his father.

personally i think it makes more sense if you read it assuming dave is slightly insane and delusional.
 
I have an even more far out explanation of why Chappelle did not do a third season:

He decided that he had to pay too high a personal price to produce the show. Yes, the show was successful but he was spending 20 hours a day for 50 weeks a year producing it. He actually did a show about dropping the it.

Money was no longer the important driver in his deciding how he had to spend his time. What Chappelle really enjoyed and wanted to do is do stand up comedy in comedy clubs.

If you believe that Cosby et al joined together to threaten Chappelle and his family, I have a NYC bridge for sale at a good price.....
