"A secret cabal of powerful African-American leaders" prevented Dave Chappelle from honoring a 95 millon dollar contract for two seasons?

No secret cabal of powerful African-American leaders is that powerful.

and they dont need to be. all it takes is a few broke ass pyscho's, $100, and some guns to scare someone into not doing something. its been done to me. required restraining orders, police protection, everything... all because i went against someone's agenda.

and yes, he did successfully prevent me from honoring a $50,000 contract because he drove me nuts from paranoia and fear.

hmmm, the guy forged emails from me and gave them to investors, but presented them in a way that kept them from talking to me about them. The guy actually pulled alot of strings to make me look nuts, and it worked. When i eventually figured out that the guy was the one making things hard for me, i called him out, but his efforts to make me look nuts made it hard for me to get taken seriously...

I swear I heard a commercial on comedy central talking about a preview of the new season of Chappelle. But, I havent seen the commercial since and havent heard anything at all about a new season. I dont know if I was dreaming or what is going on.

What the hell are you talking about? 😕

the guy said no cabal could prevent someone from honoring a big contract. i saying how easy it could be done. all it takes is making someone feel crazy, paranoid, and scared for their life.

It appears he is going forward with the project now.

However the "season preview" is to be the 4 shows that were completed before he left. They really arent talking at all if dave is back to finish the season.

I am saying that this sounds like a crack pot paranoid story made up to generate hostiliity towards a number of so-called powerful African-American leaders. They are not that powerful.

The author, "a retired public relations executive who wishes to remain anonymous" who uses words like "secret" and "cabal" points to his agenda with the website.

hmm could be something like that.

Maybe there is a secret cabal that was formed to bring down black celebs. So this "Light crusaders cabal" were the ones who did all that to Dave making it seem like a cabal of black celebs "dark crusaders" were out to get him. Then all they have to do is put it on a website knowing it will spread like a wildfire accross the internet. Bringing down not only the newest rising black star but the many that came before him.

A killing stroke if I have ever seen one...just brilliant. Skull & Bones?

He he, I like the theory.

One of the biggest tricks of rich & powerful blacks in the US is to make us think they don't exist.

Something sure as hell happened to Chappelle & it wasn't success alone.

I don't know how much truth this theory holds but I will agree that something weird went down in Dave's life. He could have been HUGE and suddenly he drops it all? Seems a bit fishy if you ask me.

So many aspects of that "Theory" are just absurd.

Oprah drugging his wife and talking to him in his bedroom while three thugs hold him down.... right
turning off his credit card so he is embarrased in a restaurant and then calling him to say, "try it now" and have it work... right
Farrakhan admitting to Dave that he had Malcolm X killed... right
etc... etc....

Entertaining, but utterly and completely made up.

The theory could be correct to a certain degree, but this particular story looks embellished. There are a ton of "yeah rights" throughout the course of this:

Notice how, TWICE, the narrator says they received critical information in documents left behind at the Omni hotel. Like a super secret organization would ever do that, rofl!

Also, the majority of info is given by witnesses in restaurants. If it was that super secret, I doubt Oprah and Bill Cosby would be talking about it in a public place like LE BEC FIN (hell I've even eaten there, it's not THAT fancy, I highly doubt they would eat there).

Last but not least, Chappelle received a bunch of packages throughout the course of this story and yet his wife still didn't believe him. Like she wouldn't believe him after seeing these (voodoo doll, note about biggie/pac/malcolm, etc)? Riiiiiight. *cough* bullsht *cough*

So, did your perpetual motion machine finally get built, or are you graciously accepting investor dollars as we speak?

chappelle's comment that he was weighted down by the partying his 100 million dollar salary entailed and that he wanted to take his sketch comedy show on the road made no sense though this is even more outlandish

To at least some degree I can believe this. I can say that I feel for certain that actions like this are about right for people like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and especially Louis Farrakhan who are collectively some of the most full of crap and bigoted people in existence. And I can see the others mentioned having the power to pull this type of thing off, though I can't necessarily say I see them doing it.

I give this story a 60% believability factor.

that site can't be real.

notice how he says "blah blah blah made a call and was reported livid" but he never quotes any of the people involved.

Yeah, it seems fishy. But I would say that most of those leaders have enough influence or power to do some of those things if they wanted to.
