Chappelle Show question...

A season two episode had a musical guest in one of the shows.
He had a bluesy/rap/jazz sound, and an awesome voice.
He had a real easy to forget name like Bill Anderson, or something like that.
Who the hell was he?

Okay, some more clues...
He was a short, squatty little black guy. He had some nasty overcoat on with patches on the sides where you'd have a tattoo.
He wore a ball cap.
Does this shake anything loose?

yep, anthony hamilton. that album is really good 'comin from where im from'. he also has a new album (kind of, the material was recorded a few years back but never released) coming out at the end of this month.

I heard of him...I think he's from Charlotte originally. Don't hear is stuff on the radio though..its a shame.

I talk to myself quite often. It just so happens that this is one of the odd times I came up with the right answer. I posted it so everyone could rejoice with me.
