I originally couldn't get Windows 7 to activate over the internet and chose to do by phone. I got an automated voice which asked for the numbers and it then gave me a different set of numbers and it activated.

Now I plan on changing my video card, here are questions I have.

1. Do you think windows will still show that it is activated after I change the video card ?
2. With how many changes to the original setup will Windows require an reactivation ? Meaning that if I change, say, my video card, my sound card, NIC etc.
3. If any of the above do require an reactivation, what is the best way to do it ?

Thanks

The formula for re-Activation for Vista or Win7 has never been published by Microsoft. In my experience, Vista will handle a new video card just fine, but a replacement hard disk will trigger re-Activation.

As always, if re-Activation is required, you first try online Activation and if that doesn't work you try telephone Activation.
