changing windows 2003 SID

Is there a tool or something I can use to change the SID? I'm trying ot setup a VMware based domain forest but I can't add a child domain to the forest root domain because it keeps saying it already exists which is false, no matter what domain name I use for the child domain it just keeps insisting that it exists already on the parant domain, so my guess is that it's because both SIDs are the same as they are simply copies of the same image. I also tried changing the computer name a couple of times, no luck there either.

I found a tool (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/NewSid.html) to change the SID, but it's still saying it already exist. My guess is that the netbios name with the old sid is still cached on the network. Where exactly is this stored, in a workgroup environement and how can I flush it when I shut down both servers? I think this may be the cause of my problem.

Hmm I waited and it flushed itself but still not fixing my problem. I'll start a new thread on this as this title is not really fitting for the actual problem I'm trying to fix.
