Gazza: Yup, that was my impression -- that MSCONFIG would work in W2K, after a fashion. Actually, though, I think Startup Control Panel handles the startup item chores much more nicely than MSCONFIG does. Besides not pelting the user with error messages in W2K, it separates the different types of startup files into their proper categories, instead of putting everything in a single window. And it lets you choose to either simply disable (uncheck) or delete (move to a special deleted, but not really gone window) each startup item.
ICyourNipple: I just wanted to add one more comment. I like the screen name. Probably makes a lot of people pause for a moment. 😀
