So, my old Asus TF101 had a blown speaker that I blew out a couple of years ago, I bought some speaker replacement for 7 bucks, I am taking it apart, which I have done many times, as I am unscrewing one of the top screws near the digitizer, the screwdriver lightly taps the digitizer and BAM. cracks it in bazillion pieces.

So, has anyone replaced a digitizer on the TF101 and is it worth the 25+ dollar expense? I don't even know what I have on it. is it easy? I have a few other tablets that I use so its not like I need this but I did pay 400 bucks a few years ago on it.

There is a partial guide for replacing the display (apparently he forgot to finish it and left out the last step).

It looks easy enough. Remove the bezel with pry tool, unscrew the display, remove a ribbon cable.

A problem I had when trying to repair phones though is replacement LCDs often are defective themselves. So you risk flush $25 down the drain (or having to go through the hassle of getting a refund) on a display that might not work.
