Hi!

I was wondering if I could do something about my Celery2-533 to change (decrease a bit) the multiplyer, cause it's not that stable at 800MHz.

Does anyone know if it is possible?

Thank you!

You should be able to change the front side bus frequency. THE MULTIPLIER ON THIS CPU IS LOCKED BY INTEL AND CHANGING THE MULTIPLIER ON THE BOARD WILL HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT. Your final speed is the unchangeable multiplier times the fsb.

Yeah... thank you, but changing the FSB speed is what I did.
Unfortunately, at a FSB of 100, when my processor runs at 800 the system is not stable enough. The next FSB below is only 83MHz and so, the PCI-bus is a lot out of the specs, that's what I don't like so I wondered if you could cut-off some pin or so to get rid of the preset multiplyer of 8... ?

You may need better cooling and/or a voltage increase of 0.1v. Worth a try.
