When I go through the choices in the bios for changing the cache speed divider, it seems that it's the manufacturer of the srams that determine what value should be set there to change the divider. Will it hurt anything if I put the wrong one or does it matter?

Hey spoooon, I haven't cracked my case, so I had to guess. There are two settings for each divider. Set it to one of the settings for the divider you are trying to achieve, and if it boots into Windows you picked the right one. If it doesn't work or when you get into Windows you check WCPUID and it says your cache is still at 1/2, then try the other. The only other way is to take off the backplate I believe. Can you see any marks on your L2 cache chips now? I know Sandra will always display the default divider, even when you change it. Only WCPUID will tell you for sure...Good luck..

Well, I've been running it at 109X7.5 (818) for about 2 hours now. It's been doing RC5 and the 3DMark demo for a while and all is good. The temp is at 95 degrees, case temp 71 degrees so things are good at that end. If everything is okay by the end of the week, I'm going to change my sig. ;)

Are you still at 1/2 cache? I think 400mhz is the limit of the best cache, so you may be coming close to 2/5 territory. Also, there is almost no difference between 2/5 and 1/3, so don't worry about that.

I was running 1/2 cache up to 788. I went ahead and switched to 2/5 for 818. Everything seemed to be running smoothly.
