So I'm sitting here at a friends house and I'm seeing all my messed up ID3 tags (thanks to the Zune software lol) It seemed to randomly change a lot of them to whatever it wanted. Here is my question. If I go into iTunes and tell it to Manually manage my music if I fix all my ID3 tags. When I get back home and sync with my main PC will it overwrite the tags I've updated with the incorrect ones on my PC? I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well. Basically what I'm trying to do is update my tags on a different PC and when I get home have the updated tags on my Touch write to my PC. I've Googled this and I'm not really sure what to expect. I don't want to spend a few hours updating them here if when I get home they'll just get overwrote with the bad ones again.

I haven't tried this specifically, but I'm almost positive that the Touch won't send ID3 info to your computer. The best way is to use a sync tool, like ChronoSync, or just simply copy your iTunes folder to your other PC... and then sync your Touch. I believe your Touch will be overwritten, not the other way around.

If you don't have physical access to both machines on the same network, I would recommend a service that will sync both over the internet.. like DropBox, or SugarSync.

thanks, I will look into ChronoSync, I didn't think it would sync back to the PC but I wasn't 100% sure. I went ahead and spent an hour editing tags any ways. Guess I'll see what happens when I get home tomorrow lol.
