Changing supported file types in Photoshop 6.01?

I want to change some of the supported file types for PS 6.01, but I didn't see any options in the Preferances tab, anyone know?

what do you want to change? if its just one file type you can just find a file of that type in explorer, SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK -> OPEN WITH and check the box and make it permanently associated with whatever program you want.

the file changed automatically when i installed a different program used to read it...
