I need some sort of utility, bootdisk, even an OS would be OK that can change the sector size of an SAS drive. I have an engineering sample of a high end SAS SSD that currently has 520 byte sectors. It is formatted this way because it is normally used in a RAID system that expects 520 byte sectors, but I'm just trying to get performance data from a stand-alone drive. The drive manufacturer has told us to just re-format with 512K, but I can't find anything that will do it easily.
What utility should I be using to do this? Preferably windows, but I'm open to other suggestions.
Viper GTS
