Changing resolution from taskbar in windows XP

Hi, there is a taskbar button in Win 98 you can enable so you can change resolution from taskbar.
Is there a way to enable this in XP? I got geforce2mx
Thanks.

Well not sure about all Nvidia drivers, but with the 27.7 go to Display properties/settings/advanced/ Geforce/Additional Properties/Desktop Utilites/ and check off the tweak to taskbar, at least thats a close to it as it gets with this driver.

Not in XP. It's called "QuickRes" and the option is found in video properties. In Win98/ME, go to Desktop Properties | Settings | Advanced and check the box to have the icon appear in the task bar.

The bummer is they removed this feature for WinXP. I miss it big time.

I haven't tried it, but there's a freeware program out there for NT/2K/XP that claims to do everything the original QuickRes in 98/ME did. It's called 1st QuickRes Light ver. 1.6b and can be found here
