Changing Partition Size

Other than third party apps, is there a way to increase a partition's size without losing data from within XP Pro? I need more space on one of my partitions and have about 14GB's of free space available. I want to incorporate that free space into it.

You could go in to disk manager and upgrade your disk to a dynamic disk. Once you do that, you can just increase the volume size. Be aware that one you upgrade to dynamic disk, you can't go back to basic storage.

Hope that helps.

Safest and most reliable way is to use Partition Magic if you can borrow a PM boot disk off someone. I do it with PM all the time. With ANY procedure, make sure you backup your data first - it's always possible to corrupt the partition.
