Changing name on SETI

Hi,

I have just changed my name on SETI from the_corm to TEAM CORM.....and on my smokeball generated stats....it says inactive....although I still appear to have moved up severl positions since a couple of hours ago....is this a temporary thing?

Hi Jamie,

When you change your seti name it is just like one member quit and a new member joined as far as the automatic stats pages are concerned. The history of the old name is lost (not the WUs, mind you 😉 ) and the stats will start anew under the new name as soon as the next WU is submitted. 😉 🙂
 
Cheers for that Smokeball....nothing needs to be done on local machines though yeah?....as it's the same email address....just that for some reason they haven't been able to connect this morning....I guess the SETI server is down?

Yep, the folks at Berkeley are having problems. My queue appears to have dumped though. Maybe the outage is over?
