Changing motherboards and brands too

My Abit SE6 is dead and I'm going to swap into an Asus CUSL2. Any tricks to aviod completely re-(partitioning, formatting, and installing everything)?
OS is Win98se
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove everything in your Device Manager. Shut the computer down. Install new board. Bring up system and let it detect new devices.

Thanks for the suggestion, but like I said the SE6 is dead. I can't remove anything. I'm going to have to count on Windows detecting all the new stuff WITH the old stuff still there.
I don't know what else to do other than turn it on and see if Windows can handle it.

Boot into Safe mode the first time and delete all the Device manager crap from there.
