I have a D-Link 530TX+ and a ADS Tech PCI USB card and both of them are using IRQ 10, so when the DSL is plugged into the NIC, the computer freezes. In Device Manager, the NIC and USB card are both forced to use IRQ 10 (can't be changed). Anyone have any ideas on how to switch IRQs on the NIC or USB card (in XP or BIOS).

I thought there was software for the NIC that will allow you to change IRQs if it's a PNP card, but can't find it anywhere...

Thanks

WinXP, like Win2k, uses ACPI by default..its okay *usually* for devices to share IRQs. I have 2 NICs, a Soundblaster Audigy, the Audigy's firewire port, Visiontek Geforce3 and USB controller all on IRQ 9.

Humm.. well, both of the PCI cards work fine separtely. If I take out the USB card, the nic works fine and vice-versa. If I have the USB card plugged in and I plug my DSL into the nic card that shares the same IRQ then my computer will freeze. If I have them both plugged in on startup I get a blue screen. So in this case, I need them on separate IRQ's.
