Changing External Enclosure

I got a new enclosure for my external HDD. I wanted to make sure i can just take my hard drive out of the old enclosure and put it in the new one without losing any data. I'm sure i'll have to install a driver and/or some software for the new enclosure, will there be a problem if the HDD in it already is formatted and has data on it?

If you're using WinXP, you don't even have to install enclosure driver in the 1st place. Changing the enclosure has no effect on the HD.

Thanks. At first i was thinking this would be the case, but i figured a quick post on AT wouldn't hurt.
