I can't take it anymore. I tried to feign disinterest in production when I couldn't connect to Berkley anymore, but I can't do it anymore! I need to get this problem fixed! Getting smoked in the race to 8K was humiliating enough, but letting my MTR team down would be too much for me to take. :)

Does anyone know how to change the default proxy in setispy so it doesn't try to connect to Berkley automatically? I'd like it to try to connect to one of the TeAm's proxy servers so I know I have a much better chance of transmitting the processed wu and grabbing a new one. It would be too time consuming for me to install seti driver on all the machines, so I'm hoping there's an easier way. Thanks, TeAm!

Ok, I wasn't sure, since I don't use SetiSpy... I downloaded it, and I think this is how you do it.

1. Goto the "Setup" area
2. Click on "Proxy"
3. Click on "Proxy..."
4. Check the box "Connect via a HTTP proxy server"
5. Enter the address and port of the proxy you want to use.
6. Click OK

Micron, that info is just for using a proxy to update SetiSpy's stats. ;)

To actually change the proxy used to get work units:

1. Click on client in the 'menu' options
2. Click on the configure button
3. In the Client parameter(s): field, enter -proxy orangekid.teamanandtech.com:5001.
(substitute OK's address and the port number for whatever queue you decide to use)
4. Click on OK.
5. Click on the (Re)start button to restart the client and have the changes take effect.
