Up graded the motherboard of my i5 2400.
Which leaves me with a Biostar TH67B and a used i3 2100 or a new G620 I found on sale, to play with.
Anyone have any advice on CPU changes downgrades (or upgrades) ?
I assume you just reset the bios ?
Is it necessary to change or reinstall windows?

If BIOS supports it you just plug it in. "Downgrade" of CPU should have no effect on anything. Besides speed ofcource.

No need to reset BIOS unless you overclocked. And Windows doesnt care either.
