Changing Cases? Help

I'm considering changing cases as part of my major overhaul on my system. I'm going to need more power and more cooling for my new hardware, but I have had major problems changing cases on entire systems before, because of the electromagnetical sensitivity on used hardware which can end up causing shortages and such. Has anyone had sucess or has changed cases on systems alot? I don't want to buy a really nice case and then short out my motherboard trying to change cases.

There shouldnt be a problem with it. I do it all the time. Just ground yourself to get rid static electricity befor touching any component.
