right now i have a NTL home100 cable modem, you wont know it because its just some generic box that NTL gave us.
we have 4Mbit down, 400kbit up at the moment, and i dont think the modem actually goes any higher than 5 or maybe 8mbit.
now i wouldnt mind upgrading to 10mbit at some point, and ive managed to pick up, for free, the latest NTL home 250 cable modem, which is capable of 10mbit +
if i change them, will my internet still work as it is now? will i still get 4mbit? will everything screw up because of a chane in MAC address?
thanks
