when upgrading the video card, (going to gtx680 4gb), can I remove the old one, put in the new one, and install the drivers from the NVidia website or do I have to uninstall the old drivers first?
The Nvidia graphics driver installer gives you the option to do a 'clean' install when installing a new driver. Just select CUSTOM install and check the CLEAN INSTALL option. It will remove your existing drivers before installing the new one...
I just updated my Nvidia drivers last night for my Windows 7 x64 system and it did this...Not sure if it is the same for Windows 8
