Changed PSU and added some MX-2, now PC doesn't boot

I turn on my PC and nothing happens, no boot or startup. Video card fan stays running at max speed even though it is suppose to drop down to a silent noise level. Monitor shows nothing but a black screen,

I haven't made much changes to my PC. Just replaced my OCZ GameXstream 600W with a Corsair HX620W, replaced my HR-05 IFX with a HR-05 SLI and repasted the NB and CPU with MX-2 instead of AS5.

What the hell is going on?

Make sure all power cables are plugged in securely and in the proper locations. In particular, check the extra connections for the CPU and video card.

If it won't boot with everything connected properly, put the old PSU back in and see if it still won't boot. If so, you may have re-installed the CPU or one of the heat sinks incorrectly.

If it boots with the old PSU, then you either have a bad power supply, or something still wasn't plugged in correctly with the Corsair PSU installed.

it just booted into windows and I was able to run games properly.....

then I added in 3 fans on one connector and now my computer won't start up at all.....first it would start up for 2 seconds, then shut down......now it won't even startup at all (can't hear anything load)......

why is this damn PSU so troublesome?

Does it boot properly if you disconnect the three new fans? If so, you are likely trying to pull too much power on the 12 volt rail. Case fans don't take much power at all so if a couple of fans are pushing you over the top then you are very close to the max that the power supply can give you even without the new fans. That power supply should be more than sufficient for almost any PC, so if it works without those new fans but not while they are connected then I would suspect that the power supply isn't functioning properly and may need to be replaced. Either that or you have other stuff in the system that is taking a significant amount of power such as dual high end video cards or a quad core CPU.

Yes it did but it doesn't matter now.......cause nothing boots or runs...

My computer started up for 2 seconds, then shut itself down, started up for 2 seconds again, then shut itself down.....now it does not even start up.....no power is going thru to the board, zlich...

I can see the keyboard lights go on when I turn the PSU switch on, and the keyboard light goes on/off when I press FSwitch, but the mobo does not work...I have stripped down my PC to the bare minimum components, MOBO + PSU only and when I short the PW SWITCH, nothing happens...PSU does not go on...when I short the PSU, it runs fine, so my PSUs are obviously not the problem....I tried this with my CPU, RAM, VIDEO in and out but nothing runs......I'm pretty sure the MOBO is dead as theres no other explanation...

It does this now with both power supplies? If so, I would guess that it's a problem with the motherboard but you can't be sure without replacing the board or testing the other components (CPU, RAM, Video) in a working system.
