So I made a move today from my old website host to a new one.
It took quite a while for this to go down as they had trouble with my forums.
That said, the move finally is complete. . .or so I'm told. Seems everyone can access the site except for me. :\
Whenever I try I get the message: Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to ********.com
Any ideas why?
Thank you.

One difference might be delays in updates to your ISP's public DNS records. In theory, it could take up to three days for EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD'S DNS records to be updated.

I could also be that your PC is retaining the old DNS records.

If Windows, use the command "IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS" to remove your PC's cached DNS records. You may have to do this with a Command Prompt running under a Local Administrator account if running Vista/Win7 or if you run as a Restricted User on XP.

Ran the IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS command, but it made no difference.
Deleted cookies, browser history, etc. but still can't access my site. Tried on two different PCs in my house and neither can reach the website. But a friend in Dallas and another in Atlanta can.
Might it be an issue with Comcast?

This.

If you are comfortable making a change to your router, you can change the DNS to either Google DNS or OpenDNS to check if the records there have been updated. As Rebatemonger already stated, it can be several days for the change to take effect for all servers worldwide. Here are some tools that can ping your server from multiple points around the world and can help you get an idea of the progress:

In a command prompt, have you and your friends ping your web server and see if the IP address given is the proper one for your new site and if it matches what others are seeing from the same "ping" command.

"ping servername"

OR,

"nslookup" at a command prompt.

At the NSLookup prompt that comes up, type in the name of your server and, again, see if the IP address matches what others are seeing.

When I did an nslookup I received the following:

Default Server: cns.bonitasprngs.fl.naples.comcast.net
Address: 68.87.74.166

> tracert www.******.com
Server: *******.com
Address: 208.65.202.20
Aliases: www.********.com

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Request to www.******.com timed-out
> ping www.*******.com
Server: *******.com
Address: 208.65.202.20
Aliases: www.*******.com

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Request to www.*******.com timed-out

Can anyone make sense of what this means? Thank you.

He had several hops and made the connection to the same IP address.

Edit: just noticed it was your DNS server IP which I was checking - is that your own?
You might as well just name the site you are trying to get to so we can provide better info

Problem solved. Turns out my website host had mistakenly blocked my IP address.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
