Change - (U.S.)

A great afternoon to you all.

I work in a border city - Windsor, Ontario.

Throughout my daily transactions, I get a lot of American change - nickels, pennies, dimes, quarters etc. Over here a US coin is treated the same as a Canadian coin.

I was wondering, does it work the same over there if you get some Canadian change (obviously the loonie or toonie do not apply 😛 ) ??

just curious, TIA

Windsor FTW!!!!!

no. in fact, they tell me as if I gave it to them on purpose. It was only a penny or something... but it was also the US Post Office the last time this happened. 😉

Usually only border areas will take them, and they don't count as being worth as much, since they're not.
