Change loading order of startup programs in XP?

How could I change the loading order of startup programs in XP? In MSCONFIG, I can select the ones I want, but it is not possible to change the order. This could be helpful in that I can have more important tray items load up before others. ie: firewall, antivirus, drive encryption utility, etc.

I think if you go into the taskbar start menu, customize, advanced, select programs, start up, and try rearanging the start up programs. I haven't tried it since I don't have any programs in start up. so let me know if it works.

If you search google for 'xp startup manager' you'll find a zillion apps (from free to shareware) that will do this. I looked for a few after your post and am trying absolute startup, it allows you to set conditions (like day of the week) or delay (e.g. load this process 30 seconds after boot) to each item. It's not free ($24.95) but so far looks interesting.

<insert standard editing your registry can blow things up warning>

In regedit go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Delete the keys and readd in the order you want and I believe that will work. Be careful. Potential to dork it up is high, export everything first.
