Hi guys, it is me gain. I have my 2600k overcklocked to 4.1 ghz. My temps were around 33-27c. Than I tried to overcklock cpu to 4.3 and got a blue screen of death cause I set too low voltage. After that I put it back to 4.1 settings in the bios and my temps rose to 35-40c. I do not know why did it happen and how can I improve it. I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
SOL

Those temps are fine, I would waste as little time as possible on this.

If you returned the voltages to what they were before, there isnt much you can do.

Have you checked your task manager...? I had a program that was part of my onboard audio that every time I rebooted it would constantly use like 13% cpu power and my temps would be slightly elevated (basicly the same as yours) but kill the program and they would drop to about where yours were before... What cooling do you have...?

When I open task manager it shows my cpu usage at 7% or 9% and 1 sec later it shows 0% and sometimes goes to 2%. I have windows defender running and avast anti virus. So, probably i should disable windows defender. I have Noctua U12P-SE

Also, one more thing: In order to decrease temps I set my voltage to 1.15v. It did not change anything but the most important is that while prime 95 I got 63c on the hottest core. While before with 1.16v I got 58c as a max temp.

It could be just the time of year. I know my rig is running hotter now than it was three months ago. Time to install my 212+ that I've been putting off.
