I've just got back from a youth division that I'm part of.

One of the girls who just turned 16, got her belly pierced on her birthday.

Another girl whom I'm guessing is 14? Plans on getting hers pierced in two years.

Maybe I'm an old fart, but wtf is the appeal of having the belly pierced?

i personally think they are sexy as hell if you have a nice stomach...but 16 is a little young to start being slutty...18+ FTW

Back 12 years ago when I was in junior high girls were getting their belly buttons pierced.

you dont have to have one to be sexy, but if you do and u look good, its extra sexy
i associate being slutty with being overly sexy in public w/o SO...
ex. single girl goes to bar with belly shirt and bellybutton ring...dances like a ho...acts like a ho... = slut
girl w/ gf/bf who wants to look extra sexxy for them goes out in the same attire but only performs ho-ish acts on SO... != slut... unless of course they have multiple SOs that dont know about eachother, lol

edit: The same goes for male and more male-ish type trends (v-neck polos that show off their chest, tight shirts to show off abs/muscles, etc.)

Yikes...it became mainstream way back then?

I've heard of ear piercings, lip piercings, tongue piercings, belly button piercings, nipple piercings, clit percicing, eye brow percing, dick percings, ball pericings, etc, etc

I was kinda hoping 99 percent of them were not mainsteam, and staying that way.
