i associate being slutty with being overly sexy in public w/o SO...
ex. single girl goes to bar with belly shirt and bellybutton ring...dances like a ho...acts like a ho... = slut
girl w/ gf/bf who wants to look extra sexxy for them goes out in the same attire but only performs ho-ish acts on SO... != slut... unless of course they have multiple SOs that dont know about eachother, lol
edit: The same goes for male and more male-ish type trends (v-neck polos that show off their chest, tight shirts to show off abs/muscles, etc.)
