Alot of image programs default to this folder when you choose to open a file. I refuse to use Windows folder standard and have to double click like 10 times to get where I have my picture library.
You can change the location of the "My Documents" folder, which contains the "My Pictures" folder. Click on start and right click on My Documents" and click on properties and click on "Move".
If you just want to move the location of "My Pictures", I have heard that you can use one of the XP tools/utilities that you can download.

I've moved My Documents to a different partition [E] to keep it away from the 'WinXP drive' [C]. I've also set out to install programs on [D] -- I'm trying to run a clean, organized system. I'm not sure this is entirely possible though. I've run into pesky install apps that don't allow me to choose my install location. Is there any way to move my default "Program Files" directory to my D: drive, so these programs will go to my D: drive? It doesn't look like either of the foregoing options allow for it.
