Chances of XBOX360/PS3 Price Cut in Near Future?

Hey folks,

So I am looking to buy either an XBox 360 or PS3 in the coming month and a half, so I figured I would ask if any of you have any thoughts as to whether there will be a price cut and/or new SKU added for either of them in the near future. So I know there is speculation that a new XBox model with a 60gb hard drive may be on the way-- is it possible that will happen towards the start of summer? Also, what do you think are the chances for a price drop for either console in the next month?

I am mainly going to be purchasing the console to play this summer, so I don't want to wait until August or anything but I'm trying to get a sense of whether anything is impending. Thanks for your help!

P.S. Not trying to take this off topic, but if anyone has any good recently updated comparisons/face off articles between XBox 360 and PS3 I would greatly appreciate it. Most are over six months old, and I know a lot can change in that time frame. I am leaning XBox 360, but I would like to make sure I make the right choice.

No, there won't be any price drops within the next month or so.

Which console? Buy the one with the games that you want to play.

Read the dozens of threads already posted here asking for help deciding between PS3 and Xbox 360.

No one knows in advance when the price drops will come, but we do know that there will be a MGS4 PS3 80 GB bundle coming out in June (which will include the Dualshock 3, which isn't included in current system). That'll be $499.

In the next month and a half? No.

Most are speculating that any price drops/new version introductions won't happen until the fall.

Yup. Why lower the price now? The holiday season is when it will actually sell systems so they will save it until then.
