Chances of nvidia dropping new cards within 3 months?

I have an opportunity to sell my current parts to a friend and upgrade. However, I was hoping to buy an evga 8800 GT then step up to a newer release. Anyone want to hazard a guess on when new parts outperforming G92 will release?

Unless you want another atrocity that was the 7950GX2 it sounds like you're waiting until March/April.

It's too bad Evga doesn't do AMD video as well, that would be quite delightful.
