Chances of my older 300w Powersupply working with an XP 1600?

I have an older 300w powersupply that I bought about three years ago, it was pretty much top of the line when I bought it.....but now I am looking at upgrading my pentium 3 based system to an Athlon xp 1600 on an ECS board...just wondering if I would encounter any problems with my ATX powersupply or not....I can open it up and look at the brand if I have to...thanks.

it should be pretty safe, depending on how many things u will be powering in ur rig. it is preferred to have a good brand (sparkle, enermax, antec, etc) but there are many ppl who get by with generic psu's

Well here is the skinny....

The power supply is a Fortron Source Model #FSP300-60GT
Has an output of 300W
+3.3 =14.0A
+5vsb = .85A
+5 = 30.0A
-5 = .3A
+12 = 12.0A
-12 = 1.0A

Got that info off of the label.....

Just wondering if you all think it will be good to go or if I should start shopping for a new PS...thanks.

Thanks, it seems to be a decent unit, and when I bought it-it was rather expensive.....I will give it a shot and see what happens.
