does anybody know how to make those audio cds used by the playnetwork machines? it appears to be an .aud file format. there has been a confusion whether it is an mp3 or a mp2. it is also not the same .aud files as the ones in command and conquer, because the .aud files for C&C do not play in winamp (it has to be playable in winamp). well, here is a dead thread in another forum and i wanted to bring it over to AT and hope you guys can help.

note: the playnetwork machines... well... it is kind of hard to describe. it is a machine made specifically to play only the cds distributed by playnetwork. more info can be found here. http://www.playnetworkonline.com/subscription.asp

They probably use their own method of compression which means unless you work for them you probably won't be able to decompress them to re-encode them a MP3 or whatever. You can only use their hardware/software to play their music.

Solution: leave these jokers well alone, and go to the iTunes music store to buy music. This way you Don't have to pay a minimum of $85 t listen to the music you bought, and you can do what you like with the tunes after. You could have bought 85 tracks for the cost of the hardware, which is plenty of music already.
