Please do not put this on the forum next time. I got back from class an hour after this e-mail was sent, and the board is back out of stock. I consider my happiness paramount to everyone elses, so I would appreciate you not spreading the word next time, thank you.

Looks like I'll be going with the A8N-SLI for $199 then. There is no excuse for how long it took PCIe to come to A64. Chipset and board manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves.

You'll like the A8N Sli Deluxe much better :)

Cancel that, they raised the price to 209. I refuse to pay more than $10 over MSRP (which is too high to begin with) for early adoption. Looks like I'll be waiting on the next set of chaintech boards.

This paper launch sh*t is really starting to get to me....either announce it when I can buy it, or don't announce it at all...

EDIT: AND WHY THE HELL DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE HAVE THE CHAINTECH IN STOCK? OR ANY OF THE OTHER BOARDS, FOR THAT MATTER!

mwave.com is still at 199.00 for the Asus SLI. I bought my mobo/cpu combo from them back in the day.

Yeah, but they want shipping, and said shipping is ludicrous. $15 for two day.

BEWARE!!! I went to Mwave trying to get a Gigabyte PCI-e board on the 21st of december (newegg was out of stock). They took my money, sent me a confirmation, and all looked good. I then ordered my new CPU and Videocard from newegg. I paid for fast shipping from Mwave, and regular from newegg. On the 23rd, my newegg order arrived (Ahead of schedule).... No Mwave order. Monday after X-mas, I got an email from Mwave telling me that my order was "approved".... No clue why it took them so long to do this. I then noticed in the order tracking screen that the order is cancelled due to lack of stock!!! I called them (took 3 calls to get a person, because every one I got initially said canyouholdplease! and put me on hold, then hung up. When I finally got the 3rd person, I got passed to another department, before finally being told that they do not have this in stock! I asked why they said that they did, and she replied that they are only a distributor for several sellers (WTF?!?!?) and do not ever maintain actual stock. She promised my money back in 48 hours, but I just got it back yesterday (1 week, and 1 day later) after several more phone calls. I do not know what is going on with MWave, but all they did was manage to tie up my money for 2 weeks, and not provide me with a motherboard!! I would sooner stick my left nut in a vise than order form them again -- jerks!

P.S. Newegg rocks (when they have things in stock)... I ordered the Chaintech vnf4 as soon as I found out Mwave was full of crap, and they had it to me at 7:00am monday morning 2 days later! And I did not even pay for 2 day express shipping!

Wow good to know. My purchase was almost 2 years ago. Lately I have had good experiences with both monarch and newegg:)

Gone again!

These things are getting harder to find than clean dishes at my single guy friend's house! I guess either demand for these boards is through the roof, or Chaintech did not want to launch a full production rush until they got the BIOS OC issue fixed, and the supply is small. Now I am double glad I found my board on newegg (found it by dumb luck on the week after X-mas, and bought it 1 hour before they sold out) -- good thing I did not wait for reviews I guess!
