Chaintech Ti 4200 overclocking

Just got the card, and as I keep hearing about how easy and reliable the 4200's overclock (to around 4400 specs), I thought it might be a good project for a new guy. Know a good place to start? Also, I know a lot of the card manufacturers provide software to help with this, but from what I've seen, Chaintech does not.

Thanks

was thinking about getting this card too. i would like to hear about this too.

Blawson, how is the card so far?

I like using RivaTuner, but it's a personal preference. The basic procedure is, overclock the memory by a reasonable amount, if you see static (in a 3d program, such as 3DMark2001), then you've gone too high. Overclock the core, if you see artifacts, such as misplaced polygons, you've gone too far. Overclocking the core can also cause windows to crash (error in nv4_disp.dll), don't panic, lower it some. I am not sure whether you get better results if you overclock the core before the memory, or the memory before the core (With Geforce2, it was *always* memory first). My Visiontek ti4200/128mb hits 300/513 either way, not fabulous, but more than I paid for.
