I updated the latest bios, have a 512MB PC133 from Crucial, plus XP 1500+, and computer still boot up as 1Ghz only!! someone please help, thanks

The XP uses only a 233MHz bus, while the motherboard you are running only supports a 200MHz bus. You are majorly wasting your XP on that mobo. Personally, I would consider this an excellent Duron board, not an Athlon board.

Having owned this board I can tell you for certain, IT DOES HAVE 100 and 133 BUS SPEEDS!
There's a jumper on the mobo that can force it if you need to.

I don't know if it really supports the XP processors, just 1.4 Tbird... there may be a BIOS upgrade to allow XP's.

I am sorry to crap here, but I have to say I have had horrable luck with Compgeeks and mainboards. A while ago I ordered a "few" of their slot A geek kits, and none of the mobo's worked. I RMA'd them all, and got back more that did not work. ( one did, the rest did not ) I got fed up and returned them all.

I decided later that it was a fluke, and just the mainboard maker sucked, and tried again when they came out with their socket A kits. I bought one, and the main board did not work again. I RMA'd it got my money back, and no longer buy mainboards from them.

I do buy other things from them, just not mainboards. They were quick on the RMA's tho. no hassle whatsoever, but the shipping cost was annoying.
