That might be the board with integrated video. If so, then that's not too bad of a price for all that the motherboard offers.

if u've seen a review of the mobo its worth it. I think one site gave it the motherboard of the year award.

One problem with this board though (IMO), Chaintech decided against using the onboard apu, and used a cmedial audio chip

That looks like a lot of cool extras included. I see they have both the $135 and the $180 mobo there for Chaintech. The $180 model doesn't seem to have video, just that it has S-ATA and RAID. It doesn't seem worth the extra expense.

What generation of gpu is going to be on the new NForce2 boards when it has video? GeForce 4MX?

Pretty steep considering both of those Chaintech boards use C-media audio chips :disgust:

Read carefully!!!!
That is the Apogee with nforce2! NOT THE MONSTER CALLED ZENITH!!!!
Zenith is their top model for Athlox XP and the best Motherboard for AMD with nforce2! ASUS Deluxe is the other best option!

And for those that u have question on the CMEDIA vs SOUNDSTORM here is the official answer I got from Taiwan HQ!

"Dear S.,

Thanks for your interest in our product. Here are the reasons CHAINTECH uses Cmedia in stead of nVidia APU. 7NJS ZENITH is designed to incorporate Cmedia 8738 as an external bridge through PCI interface and it?s a hardware decoding and consumes less system resources. It?s similar as any other audio CODEC but with additional 5.1-channel and SPDIF for digital surround output equals to what Dolby surround would offer. Soundstorm's spirit is to enable the 5.1 channel audio which provided by Cmedia also. Moreover, Cmedia privides both SPDIF in/out but NVIDIA APU can only support SPDIF out. Cmedia is very experienced in designing audio chipset and the skill is very
matured which you do not need to worry! As a motherboard manufacturer, we know what is actually better to recommend to our users!
Hope I answer your questions and clear your doubt!

Let me know if you have other questions!
Best regards,
B. Lin"

No onboard GPU on any of the first Nforce2 MBs...
Actually why bother... Who needs a Nvidia G4 MX ??? U call your self a power user go get a serious VGA!!! At least Gforce 3, Gforce 4 but not their MX version! or even better the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro or Matrox Perhelia 128 or 256 DDR ... If you guys do 2D Graphics I highly recommend the perhelia vga cause nobody beats Matrox on 2D representation and quality!

That was their intent with the SPP northbridge boards :) They saw that people were put off on Nforce 1 b/c of the $30-60 premium the boards carried b/c of an IGP. IGP is great for OEMs, and some system builders/non-gamers here, but the majority of us don't need/want integrated video.
