It has 128mb of ram does it improve performance at all?? Its only $162 at newegg.com, otherwise I'd get Radeom 8500 Retail.

I say wait for the GF4 Ti4200... It will out-performance both of those cards... and MSRP is $199, so only a little bit more than the GF3 u are considering...

No. Only at 1280X1024+ with 4X AA enabled and 1600X1200+ with 2X AA enabled. I believe these resolutions don't work either with 64 MB (not enough RAM).

If you're not a HEAVY AA user at very high resolutions, there is no point to the extra RAM.

The Ti4200 would be the card to get, except for the fact that there is no Ti4200. NVidia hasn't even announced there is one yet. For now (And the next couple of monts) it's vaporwear.

Unless your in love with AA at high resolutions, the R8500 is hands down the better choice.
The Ti4200 is pretty much a mute point, as from all indications it won't be released until ATi pulls out the RV250 chipset, so we're looking at 2+ months from now.
